IAIKUPers- Wednesday (19 March 2025 ) Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Mambaul Ulum Islamic Institute (IIM) Surakarta successfully held a workshop titled Writing Scientific Articles in Scopus Index Journal which took place lively in the Surakarta IIM Hall. Mengusung tema “Discover Innovative Strategies to Overcome Challenges and Gain a Competitive Edge for Article Journal,"This activity aims to improve the quality of academic publications of lecturers and researchers in the campus environment.
This workshop presents the main resource person who is very competent in their fields, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mufid, Lc., M.S.I., Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin Institute of Islamic Religion Khozinatul Ulum Blora (I AM AWESOME). In his presentation, Prof. Abdul Mufid explained various effective scientific article writing strategies, The Importance of Representative Journal Analysis, and practical tricks so that scientific articles can be accepted by scopus indexed journals. He also stressed the importance of solid academic collaboration, especially between researchers and LPPM IIM Surakarta, in order to expand a wider and impact scientific publication network.
Surakarta IIM Rector, Edy Muslimin, S.Ag., M.S.I., In his remarks emphasized how important this activity was a source of inspiration and motivation for lecturers. “We hope this workshop can increase the enthusiasm of lecturers in producing scientific works published in an international journal, like Scopus. The more publications that made it into a reputable journal, then academics will be easier to develop their careers, even towards the functional position of the head lecturer and professor,” said Edy Muslimin hopefully.
During the workshop, Participants get deeper insights about the challenges that are usually faced in scientific publications. Starting from how to choose the appropriate journal, compile articles in international format, to special techniques so that articles have a greater opportunity to be accepted in prestigious journals. Interactive discussions and article writing simulations are also an inseparable part of this activity, provide direct experience that enrich the knowledge of the participants.
Participant enthusiasm, the majority of lecturers and researchers from IIM Surakarta, Looks very high. They appreciate the material delivered by Prof.. Abdul Mufid, which is considered very relevant and applicative for improving the quality of their scientific publications. Not a few of them who hope that activities like this can continue to be held, so that academics can continue to increase the capacity and quality of their research.
With the success of this workshop, LPPM IIM Surakarta increasingly confirmed its commitment in supporting the development of academic capacity of lecturers and researchers. Not only that, They are also determined to create a more productive academic culture and are oriented towards scientific publications of international reputation.
