IAIKUPers- Saturday (14 Mei 2025) became a full day of inspiration at the Auditorium of the Islamic Institute of Islamic Religion Khozinatul Ulum (I AM AWESOME) Blora. Study Program Student Association (HMPS) Islamic religious education successfully held a public speaking training that carries the theme "Improving Effective Communication Skills in Public". This event was followed by enthusiasm by IAKIKU BLORA students, both from regular and extension classes, who are eager to deepen the ability to speak in public.
This training presents the Lecturer of Ihauku Blora, Naila Intania, M.Pd., as the main speaker. His presence was warmly welcomed by the participants, who seemed eager to follow every material session that was packaged with interesting. Naila Intania in her presentation emphasizes the importance of the role of a moderator in a discussion forum. "The moderator is the regulator and director of the discussion. His task of ensuring the forum runs conducive and according to the topic, and able to create more interesting discussion ideas or topics," he said.
Further, Naila also thoroughly peeling about good presentation techniques, starting from the planning stage, presentation, up to closing. Do not miss, challenges during the question and answer session, vocal techniques that include intonation, articulation, accentration, until the mastery of body language is discussed in depth. "Getting nervous is a natural thing, especially in the first experience. The key is to calm down, Be Nothing to Lose, and keep practicing,"He added motivating.
Not just theory, The participants were also invited to immediately practice the knowledge gained. They are divided into small groups to try to become moderators, MC, nor presenter. The atmosphere of the auditorium also turned into an active study room, full of laughter and enthusiasm of students who support each other.
Ali Rohman Purnomo, Secretary of HMPS PAI, express his gratitude for the implementation of this activity. "Thank God, We are very grateful to friends of students who are present. Public speaking is very important because we will always be dealing with the situation of speaking in public. We hope this training will have a positive impact, both in the campus environment and the wider community,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Qomaruddin, PAI semester students 2, claimed to feel the great benefits of this training. "I feel more confident, understand good speaking techniques, and know how to deal with nervousness. This training really opened my insight and motivated to continue learning,”He said with a passion.
This meaningful event was closed with the surrender of souvenirs as a form of appreciation from the Chairperson of HMPS PAI, Zainal Abidin, to Naila Intania, M.Pd. Hopefully similar activities continue to equip students to be more ready to face the real world with effective and confident communication.
