IAIKUPers – Jum’at, 17 January 2024 – Khozinatul Ulum Islamic Institute (I AM AWESOME) Blora went further in strengthening international networks by signing Letter of Intent (LoI) with the University of Islamic Sciences Malaysia (SEASON). This signing was carried out by the Dean of the Ushuluddin IAIKU Faculty, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mufid, Lc., M.S.I., and Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Zohdi Mohd Amin. This process was witnessed directly by the Chancellor of IAIKU, KH. Ahmad Zaki Fuad, M.Ag., together with the Vice Chancellors: Ahmad Syaifulloh, M.Pd., Muhammad Nabil, S.Sy., M.Ag., and Ahmad Saiful Rizal, M.Pd.
In his speech, Prof. Abdul Mufid emphasized IAIKU's commitment to continue to develop through international cooperation. “This LoI is the door to joint research, student exchange, and various programs that strengthen the quality of Islamic higher education,” he said.
Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Zohdi Mohd Amin added, “We hope that this collaboration will not only focus on seminars, but also the development of cross-country research that is relevant to the current needs of Muslims.”
After signing, The IAIKU delegation was invited to review several superior facilities at USIM, including Ma'mal Hadis—state-of-the-art hadith research laboratory, as well as a Braille Al-Quran collection designed to facilitate accessibility for people with disabilities. “We are very impressed with the innovation at USIM, especially in providing inclusive facilities such as the Braille Al-Qur'an. This is a big inspiration for us to implement on campus,” said KH. Ahmad Zaki Fuad.
This visit provided in-depth insight into how technology and research can be integrated to support Islamic studies. With a high spirit of collaboration, Both institutions hope to have a wider positive impact in the world of Islamic higher education.
