IAIKUPers- In order to foster the holy month of Ramadan, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training ( FITK) IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora held a Ramadhan Islamic Boarding School with the theme “Prepare the young generation of Muslims who are knowledgeable and have a noble character”. This activity took place in two meetings, on Monday, 10 March 2025, and Thursday, 13 March 2025, in high school n 2 Blora by presenting Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Mufid, M.S.I., Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora, as the main resource person.
In his presentation, Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Mufid emphasized how important it is to build a young generation who is not only superior in science, but also has noble character. According to him, The progress of a nation is very dependent on the moral and intellectual quality of its young generation. "Science without morals can be misleading, while morals without knowledge can be weak. Therefore, Both must go hand in hand in shapeing the character of a strong Muslim youth,” he said.
The Ramadan boarding is aimed at giving students a deep understanding of the importance of balance between knowledge and morals in everyday life. Besides that, This activity also focuses on increasing student religious awareness in living a more Islamic life, Instill the values of morals of karimah as the main foundation in association and social life, and encourage students to continue learning and develop themselves in accordance with Islamic teachings.
With this activity, students are expected to be able to understand the importance of knowledge and morals in religious and social life. Besides that, They are also expected to be able to apply Islamic values in everyday life, both in the school environment and the community, and motivated to continue to gain knowledge and practice it with a polite and responsible attitude. This activity also aims to print a generation that has broad insights, critical thinking, and contribute positively to the nation's development.
Arim Irsyadulloh Albin Jaya, M.Pd., Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora, helped give appreciation for the implementation of this activity. He asserted that the cooperation between Fitk IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora and SMA N 2 Blora is a strategic step in building the character of the younger generation. "We really appreciate this cooperation because through activities like this, We can form young people who not only have strong Islamic insights but also have noble character. We hope this activity can continue and grow in the future,he said.
Siti Fatimah, S.Pd., Deputy Principal for the State High School Curriculum 2 Blora, also gives appreciation to the implementation of this activity. "Thank God, Our students are very enthusiastic about following the study of material preparing for the young generation of Muslims who are knowledgeable and have a noble character. They revealed that this activity was fun, interactive, and easy to understand. God willing, They are ready to implement this knowledge in everyday life. Thank you to the lecturers of IAI Khozinatul Ulum for this useful knowledge, and we hope to work together again in the future,he said.
With this collaboration, It is hoped that the Ramadan Islamic Boarding School will not only be a place for religious learning, but also a forum for better character formation for the young generation of Muslims in Blora and its surroundings.
