Campus Website Training and Journalism: “Increase student creativity in information management”

IAIKUPers- Thursday (20 March 2025) Students of the Islamic Institute of Islamic Religion Khozinatul Ulum Blora have a valuable opportunity to attend intensive training that focuses on managing campus websites, News Writing Techniques, and the basics of the pouring. The event which took place in the Dema room was attended by two participants, Siti Winda Cahya Rofikho and Asadilah Al Khilmi, with direct guidance from Islamic Religious Education students ( PAI),Yusron Ridho Nur Fatoni.

The training began at 12.00 siang, The atmosphere was full of enthusiasm seen throughout the event. This program aims to improve students' skills in managing campus websites in a professional manner and introducing the basics of journalism that will be important for students in the academic world and the community.

In the first session, Participants were introduced by managing informative and attractive campus websites. Yusron Ridho Nur Fatoni provides interactive material about website display design, how to publish campus news, as well as maintaining the consistency of relevant content for the academic community.

Furthermore, The second session discussed the news writing technique with the 5W+1H approach. Participants learn to compile informative and structured news, and the importance of maintaining objectivity and accuracy in each writing. This technique gives participants an understanding of how to write news that is not just interesting, but also quality.

This training also includes the introduction of the basics of campus journalism, Like the role of journalism in supporting effective transparency and communication between students and the campus. Interview material, data research, And the writing of opinion is also the focus in this session.

Not only that, This event is also waiting for approval and cooperation from Ahmad Ihsan Syarifuddin, S.HUM., M.A., which is expected to support the running of campus website management in a sustainable manner. This collaboration is considered important to ensure that the results of the training can have a real impact in improving the quality of campus internal communication.

Siti Winda Cahya Rofikho, one of the training participants, expressed his enthusiasm, "We are very enthusiastic about this training. With direct guidance from experienced speakers, We hope to develop campus websites to be more informative and interesting. "

In line with that, Asadilah Al Khilmi hopes this training can be a starting point for new traditions on campus, where students are more active in contributing to conveying information. "We want the campus website not only to be a communication tool, but also a forum for student creativity,"Said Asadilah.

With the end of this training, students are expected to be able to implement the knowledge gained to bring positive impacts in improving the quality of information on campus. This training is a promising first step to create a dynamic and quality campus digital ecosystem.
