Hadrah Activities of UKM ARTS IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora

Dema Press - Hadrah is music that has an Islamic atmosphere, namely singing the Prophet's prayers accompanied by drumming with certain instruments.. Hadroh is an Islamic art that has existed since the time of the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. It is said that when the Prophet migrated from Mecca to Medina, His Majesty the Prophet was greeted happily by the Anshor people with a song or poem known as the sholawat "thola'al badru 'alaina" accompanied by flying kites.. In terms of language, Hadroh is taken from the words hadhoro – yuhdhiru – hadhron – hadhrotan which means presence, However, in most people's terms, hadhroh is defined as the rhythm produced by the sound of a tambourine. In terms of terms/definitions, Hadhroh according to Sufism is a useful method for opening the way to the heart. It is thought that Hadrah entered Indonesia a long time ago and was brought by Arab traders to Malay lands. After enough time in Malay then it spread to the corners of the archipelago with Arab or Malay traders and it is estimated around the century 18 Hadrah entered Madura Land, precisely in Sumenep. Then these traders mingled with the surrounding community and introduced Hadrah to the community and indirectly Hadrah began to be known by the community to this day..

This Hadrah activity is part of the IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora student work program for Hadroh art lovers, However, this activity is under the auspices of the Student Executive Council.
