IAIKUPers- The spirit of digital literacy echoes at the IAI Khozinatul Ulum Blora campus in the Gen Z journalistic workshop titled "Ngonten Smart, Deftly Write "held by the Media Center Campus for two days, Saturday Sunday (17–18 Mei 2025) followed 15 Participant. This event is a valuable momentum for students to explore the world of journalism as well as honing writing skills and making ethical informative content.
On the first day, Saturday (17/5), The participants were presented with in -depth material from Hery Purnomo, Contributor of iNews TV (MNC Media Group) as well as the Chairperson of the Indonesian Journalists Association (Priestless) Blora. It unveils basic techniques in news writing, Discuss the difference between hard news, soft news, straight news, to the feature, and emphasize the importance of direct interviews and compile news that are balanced and not tendentious.
"Good news is balanced and has a facts basis. Don't justify. If it's not certain, Use the word 'suspected' to maintain accuracy and ethics,"Said Hery.
He also gave direct challenges to participants to write news from the environment around them, Equipped with documentation in the form of photos or videos.
Enter the second day, Sunday (18/5), Mega Nanda's turn, media practitioners as well as professional editors, who appeared dissecting the work of the participants one by one. With a straightforward but friendly style, Mega commented on the strengths and weaknesses of each participant news, starting from the writing structure, Title selection, to photo taking techniques.
"The title must be informative and mention the complete location, Like Wijang Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency. Photos should be landscape, contains human elements, so that there is ‘life’ inside it,he stressed.
Mega also emphasized the importance of delivering news in a grounded language. "Write the news for the wider community, not only for academics. Use a term that is familiar and easy to understand,he added.
The surgical session of this work took place interactively. Many participants ask questions, Share opinions, even criticizing the contents of the training constructively.
Joko Agung, Sharia Business Management Students, disclose, "Also interesting today. Surgery works make us better understand the techniques and ethics of news writing. "
Meanwhile, Mohammad Isnario Andrian, Islamic Religious Education student, convey his hopes, "I am actually quite enthusiastic about this workshop. But unfortunately, The 'Ngonten' section has not yet been discussed because of time constraints. Hopefully in the future there will be further training. "
