IAIKUPers-Encouraging the enthusiasm of the younger generation to play an active role in safeguarding, treat, preserving art and culture, The IAI Khozin Festival committee held a district level calligraphy competition. This is also an effort to increase the creativity and devotion of the younger generation.
this calligraphy art competition , The participants were mainly of elementary school age, SMP, SMA,students and santri ,held in the Banat class of the central Khozinatul Ulum Islamic boarding school, Friday (22/12/2023)
In this calligraphy competition, participants must choose one of the verses that have been determined by the committee, including Qs. Al-Kahf verse 86, Qs. Fathir verse 28, Qs. Shad verse 29, Qs. al-imran verse 18, Qs. Thaha verse 114.
Tasila Indana Zulfa as the person in charge of the calligraphy event said, “The development of calligraphy art has become a focus of attention for the people of Blora in particular. Including for the youth generation to also take care, conserve, or become an artist.
The calligraphy competition which was held was one part of the effort to develop Islamic religious art.
“In accordance with the mandate of the IAIKU statute contained in the vision and mission, where one of the missions is that IAIKU must develop science, technology, and art that breathes Islam. Therefore art must be cared for, and it is a necessity for IAI Khozinatul Ulum to take care of it,”
According to him, Calligraphy art is one part of art from many fields that continues to be preserved , So it is hoped that this competition will be able to encourage people's interest in liking the art of calligraphy. The development of Islamic calligraphy must continue to be encouraged, one of them is through competitions and exhibitions.
Through competitions, calligraphers hone their knowledge to adapt their techniques in painting, draw, or write.
“This competition really encourages calligraphers to be more advanced than they are now. Especially amidst current technological developments,” he said
I hope and we know that this calligraphy competition has been adapting to the presence of technology for extraordinary architectural works for a very long time, and one of the extraordinary campuses appreciates calligraphy as an important part of architecture,”he closed.
